Preparations
Furxir the Wise called the council of seven to his chambers.
“War is coming to our lands. We must prepare. You must march forth and gather our allies, for we will need all who can help in the coming months.”
Tay approached Furxir, and said “Our armies are still depleted from the great Boarder Wars with the Hea’rnians. We will not have the numbers needed to defeat this enemy you speak of.”
“Then perhaps it is time you and the other Knights who stand here with you travelled north to Sharlr and make peace with Hea’rn, and we will stand as one under a common banner and fight together” Furxir said as he rested his hand on Tays shoulder.
War is upon us It has been many years since the nations of Hea’rn and Elent have seen war. Many years of peace and tranquillity. Trade has flourished between the two nations along paths where once only armies patrolled, caravans now traverse.
Peace never lasts forever.
Furxir the Wise once said that a great enemy would appear out of the mists to the east. The rest of the high council thought he was foolish.
Arborlarian Timeline 4105 AL - Present Day.
4098 AL - After five years of bitter fighter, Elent withdraws and ceases its War against Hea'rn.
4093 AL - After years of slow expansion to the East, Elent invades Hea'rn. The Great Border War Begins.
4064 AL - Sharlr Family become the Ruling family in Hea'rn.
Calendar The Arborlarian year is broken down into 12 Cycles. The first 6 cycles are known as the Approach, and the second 6 are known as the Retreat.
Each Cycle is broken down into 3 tendays, and each tenday is ten days long.
People throughout Arborlaria have two ways of referring to dates. The first, is by the day and the Cycle. For example, the 13th Day of Futhor. The Second way is a more traditional way, and that is by the day, the Tenday, and the Cycle. For example, Day 3 of the Second Tenday of Futhor.
Each year, for 5 days, people celebrate the Moon festival. It is a time of feasting, a time to honour ones god, and a time to pray for a good retreat and hope that the retreat is not too harsh. In the skies above, the three moons that circle Arborlaria come together on day 3 of the festival and form a perfect triangle. It is said, that any child born on this day, would be blessed by the gods. |
